Bonjour! My name is Jillian Davis. I have been teaching French to students of all ages since 2005. My
fascination with the French language began when I was a little girl. French quickly became my favorite
subject when I was in high school, and I was able to travel to France for the first time with my high
school French teacher. I studied French and International Studies at Saint Louis University. I spent my
junior year abroad in Lyon, France. Living with a French family, attending classes at a French university,
and interacting with French people on a daily basis increased my fluency in the French language and
taught me so much about French culture. I completed an M.A. in French literature at the University of
Minnesota. This was where I had my first experience teaching. I loved it from the very first day. After
completing my degree, I moved to Johnson City to be closer to my family. I completed a Master of Arts
in Teaching at ETSU and obtained certifications in French and ESL. I live in Johnson City with my husband
and two sons. I enjoy reading, traveling, cooking, and baking. I am excited to share my love of French with
TOPS students!
