TOPS is built on a 4x4 block schedule. In a brick and mortar school, this would mean four classes that last 90 minutes a day. Students should expect each class to take at least 7 and a half hours of work a week on average. Depending on the readiness level of the student, it could take more or less. Because we give students the opportunity to work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, this doesn't mean students have to work on school Monday through Friday from 7:30 to 2:30. Students have the ability to create their own schedules. The only requirement is that work is done by Friday's deadline. 

We recommend students start their work on Monday with the aim of finishing most of it by Friday morning. This will leave plenty of time for them to revise some work or get help from a teacher during the week.
