Biography

I graduated with honors from Chuckey-Doak High School in 1995.  I went to East Tennessee State University and graduated in 1999 with a Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice.  While attending East Tennessee State University, I attended Walters State Community College where I received an Associates Degree in Business (Legal Assistant.)  After graduating college in 1999, I began working in the Legal Department at Forward Air.  I worked for Forward Air for two years until I had the opportunity to work as a paralegal for a private law firm in Greeneville.  I enjoyed working as a Paralegal and I formed a lot of positive relationships while in that capacity.

After several years of working as a Paralegal, I decided to return to college to get my teaching degree.  I acquired my teaching certificate and Biology minor from Tusculum College in 2005.  I also have a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Union College and an Educational Specialist Degree in Administration from LMU.  I have now been an educator for ten years.  I taught my first year at Chuckey-Doak High School and have taught at Greeneville High School for the past nine years.  I also was a volleyball coach for five years.

I enjoy spending time with my son, Braxden and my labrador dog, Riley.  I love the outdoors.  I read a lot, hike, raft, run competitively, and play volleyball and softball.  Also, I have taken up kickboxing.

I am excited to have the opportunity to teach for TOPS and to work with students with diverse backgrounds.  I love to teach and it is my goal for my students to love to learn,  We will have fun in Biology!
