My name is Carla Lilly and I was born and raised in Bristol, Virginia. I graduated from John S. Battle High School in 1994. During my high school career, I was a four time-state qualifier in both Cross-Country and Track. I then went to Lincoln Memorial University on a cross-country scholarship where I led the team for three years. I graduated from Lincoln Memorial University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Mathematics and an ABA in Business Administration.
After graduating from LMU I worked in the business world for about six years before I decided to explore teaching and coaching. I went back to Graduate school and graduated with my Masters Plus 30 in Educational Leadership from Union College. Then in 2004, I started teaching and coaching at Tennessee High School. I have coached CC, Track and Robotics while at THS. I am still currently teaching math
and coaching CC. I am also an adjunct math teacher for TOPS.
Since going into education I haven’t looked back. I love working with young people. I enjoy both teaching and coaching more every day. When I am not teaching or coaching, I am probably out running, biking or maybe hiking, snowboard, backpacking, or any number of other outdoor activities.
