Hello Everyone! My name is Karen Fine and I am very excited to be teaching Art for TOPS. I have been teaching art for over 25 years and am a professional artist (in my spare time). I have earned a BFA (Bachelor of Fine Arts) degree from University of Massachusetts at Amherst, a MaEd (Master of Art Education) degree from East Carolina University and am currently pursuing an EdD (doctorate of Education) degree from East Tennessee State University (online format). In my career I have taught ages 4-80 in many different locations. I started my teaching career on the Island of Guam! Currently I teach art for Greeneville City Schools (the last 15 years). I have also had the pleasure to be the director/designer for many plays in North Carolina and Little Theatre of Greeneville.  I share my life with my two dogs: Winter the Labrador (1 ½ yr. old) and Jackson the Corgi (1 yr. old) that keep us very busy! My motto is “enjoy the creative journey and have fun in the learning process”!
